2014 AGM & OPEN DAY – Ellesmere, Shropshire

Just a little reminder that the next event on the Monty calendar is the AGM on Wednesday 3rd and the Open Day on Thursday 4th September to be held in Ellesmere, Shropshire.

The meeting of the AGM itself will be held at The Boathouse in Ellesmere at 6.30pm on the 3rd September and as in previous years will involve a three course meal. The cost of the meal being £25 per head. (www.ellesmereboathouse.co.uk)

The boathouse is located alongside the mere as you leave Ellesmere on the A495 heading for Shrewsbury. The postcode is SY12 0PA

If you could please let me know by Monday 25th August if you are going to attend the meeting I would be grateful, so I can confirm numbers with the Boathouse for the meal.

Thursday 4th September will involve a farm visit to the Brista Herd of Peter and Fiona Bridge, Stanwardine Hall, Ellesmere. A herd established in 2003, that features both pure and cross bred animals. Both Peter and Fiona have been heavily involved in the Montbeliarde UK Society since its formation and the visit presents the opportunity to see another herd that is succeeding with the Montbeliarde breed.

As always we hope as many members as possible will be able to attend to make the AGM as successful as it has been in previous years.

Accommodation for the AGM is available in two places, both are within very easy walking distance of the Boathouse.
